Teresa Franco is an urban cultural geographer holding a PhD in Geography from Queen Mary University of London (UK). Her dissertation deals with the cultural representations of everyday mobility practices in contemporary Mexico City (2019). She completed a MA in Cities and Cultures also at QMUL, and before that she studied Italian Literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Most of her research work has been centered on narratives of social distress in the global south; narratives of trauma and loss and narratives of challenging urban mobility practices.
